Service Technician

Location: Kaige Kubota, 1401 W Interstate 20, Odessa, TX 79766
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM | Rotating Saturdays, 8 AM–12 PM

Overview:

As a Service Technician, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and repairing customer machines, rental fleet units, and new inventory. Working in the shop, you’ll use diagnostic tools and your mechanical skills to keep everything running smoothly—from compact tractors to commercial mowers.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair diesel/gas engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and drivetrains.
• Maintain and service rental units to ensure reliability and safety.
• Complete work orders with detailed notes, inspection forms, and photos.
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and solve mechanical issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Communicate clearly with service writers and team members.
• Perform repairs within set time standards (flat rate or billed).
• Stay updated on technical service bulletins and manufacturer updates.

Requirements/Skills:

• Must provide your own hand tools.
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical service (preferred).
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions.
• Must have good eyesight (correctable to 20/20) and normal hearing for diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in using diagnostic software, multimeters, and repair manuals.
• Familiarity with agricultural and construction equipment brands (Kubota, Land Pride, etc.).
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and teamwork are a must.

• Kubota: tractors, excavators, skid steers, compact track loaders, wheel loaders, RTVs, mowers
• Land Pride: implements and attachments (cutters, box blades, tillers, augers, etc.)
• Walker Mowers: full service, repairs, and adjustments
• ECHO: small engine repair on handheld tools
• GMG, Snorkel, Xtreme, Genie & JCB: scissor lifts, boom lifts, and forklifts from our rental fleet
• Allmand & ELGI: light towers, generators, air compressors
• Various other rental fleet equipment and attachments
